Tun Abdullah has features that allow him to take responsibility as the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, where the legacy of leadership requires as a credible leader to lead the country. The important aspects in determining the leadership and legacy of leadership is to ensure that the choice is able to devote himself to all Malaysians. Tun Abdullah always remind all of the Malaysian that he is not only the President of UMNO but also the Prime Minister of Malaysia and will ensure the rights of all citizens are protected. This is because development should be accompanied by the formation of inter-racial solidarity that political stability is not compromised. He will makes sure that whatever decision might be made by him had the full support of the leaders of the various communities so that his leadership is going on smoothly without any defect-defect.
" Do not work for me , but let's work with me " , this is one of the first shrines speech that was appointed from prime minister. He wants all the people wake up to work with him to develop the country. Tun Abdullah began his leadership with the motto " Cemerlang, Gemilang dan Terbilang ." He commitment to produce very high administrative honest , efficient , and sensitive to the plight of Islamic rural and regional areas did not attract much attention over the years. A political analyst homeland leadership of Tun Abdullah concluded by writing : " He was dealing with a lot of small issues that impresses people the most. "
First slogan " work with me not for me " has demonstrated he began pioneering their own way in appearance as Prime Minister. Clearly he assumes leadership philosophy of the people, government officials , community leaders and political leaders , as partners to achieve the ideals of the nation. He did not want them to work for him alone.Determination to combat corruption and avoid corruption is the beginning of a very commendable leadership . In fact , the " Quality Day Ministry of Internal Affairs " he has vowed to be a Muslim is not to engage in corruption . He also asked the government officials do not accept bribes in order to eliminate the symptoms of this disgusting . corruption is also declared as enemy number one under his leadership.
