THE EXPERIENCE OF TUN ABDULLAH AHMAD BADAWI




   
                                                                       


  Before Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi became the Prime Minister , He started his career as a teacher. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya in 1964, he joined the civil service as Assistant Secretary in the Department of Civil Service. whereby in 1969, he moved to the National Operations Council (NOC), a body of executive authority to govern the country which was established after the racial riots of May 1969. Abdullah was later promoted to Director General of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, before becoming Deputy Chief Secretary in the same ministry in 1974. 

   Tun Abdullah was appointed as the fifth Prime Minister on October 31, 2003. Swearing-in as Prime Minister held at the National Palace in the presence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail through submission power.He replace Dr. Mahathir Mohamad which had ruled the country for 22 years.Transition of leadership in government and the party goes well with Tun Abdullah as the fifth Prime Minister promised that the administration "firm, fair and equitable '.
